WHAT IS SPRAY FOAM INSULATION?
Often called expanding foam or spray insulation, spray foam insulation is a type of polyurethane foam that is a combination of two liquids, isocyanate and polyol resin. When combined, they quickly expand to over 30 times the original volume, filling all gaps, crevices, and voids before curing into a durable, lightweight foam. Spray foam insulation adheres tightly to surfaces like wood framing, plywood, pipes, and electrical cables, creating a virtually airtight seal that prevents air infiltration, while it is aerated.
